Music makes your heart sing. It can make you reflect, or take you to that special place again with only one note. In this month's podcast, we discuss the differences and similarities with music, lyrics and poetry. We chat with singer/songwriter Ainslie Wills as well as MC Zulu. Our segment producer Jessica Alice waxes lyrical on the subject of music and poetry and finally, as a very special treat, Nothing Rhymes' own Eliza Hull sings word of the day.

We chat to photographer Tate Jerrems, Eleanor Jackson speaks about the Melbourne Poetry Map, Katie Keys uses the word of the day for a tiny poem, Jessica Alice our resident segment contributor discusses film and poetry and Pi O comes in to the studio to chat numbers and pictures. |

Pack your bags as we take you right around the globe! We visit Korea with poets Kim Ki Taek, Park Hyung Jun, Park Ra Youn and Hwang Dong Gyu. We then land in Burma where we speak to Burma’s first all original girl band . Turkish/ Australian poet and writer Alice Ulgezer chats to us about the influence her culture has had on her writing. Then to our own backyard, where indigenous poet Samuel Watson reads his poetry and slam champion Luka Lesson uses the word of the day for inspiration. |

October is a culinary delight! This month's Nothing Rhymes With RRR explores the poetry of food. For the main: a Q&A with the delectable Guy Grossi on the verse of the modern menu, BlueDog readings slow roasted by Alan Brough and a fine selection of dishy writers from the 2009 Melbourne Writers Festival. In between courses: Lorna Crozier's intimate depictions of lettuces and cauliflowers, and for dessert, Jennifer Compton a la peaches. Bon Appetit.
