Health Trip 19th January 2009

Health Trip is back, and this week Donna, Kulja and Gill kick off its seventeenth year with some serious talk about Iron, what's it for, are we getting enough of it, how do we get more of it and what the difference is between the iron we get from meat and that which we get from vegetables.

Caller questions this week relate to breast feeding and when is a safe time to start weening, children's iron needs - particularly if they're being raised vegetarian and look at supplimentary iron sources for sufferers of glandular fever.

On a light note, it may interest some of you to know that Nicole and her 3 month old son, Jowa came in to the station last week, both are happy well and Nicole plans to take back the reigns sometime in February.
